 Cruise ship season may be nearing an end for this year, but we are looking forward to welcoming the last few cruise ships to Vancouver! Being a port city, we’re so fortunate to be ambassadors for visitors from all over the world.

At Canada Place, there are three berths where cruise ships can dock: Canada Place East, Canada Place North and Canada Place West. In the summer, it’s not unusual to see all three berths full!

Repositioning Cruises from Vancouver

What are repositioning cruises, you might wonder? It’s when cruise ships relocate from one region to another, either in the autumn and spring and usually from point A to point B. Since these one-way itineraries have more days at sea, they are generally cheaper than regular sailings. (anywhere from 30-70% cheaper!)

From Vancouver, repositioning cruises generally sail up and down the west coast or crosses the Pacific Ocean, or even to the Panama Canal.
