That’s Amore Valentine’s Opera Buffet at Oceans 999

6th Annual Dare To Dream Bridal Showcase


Join us for the 6th annual Dare to Dream Bridal Showcase on Sunday, February 26 in our Oceanview Ballroom.
The multicultural bridal event, produced by Something Borrowed Event Management and Design, will bring together all the vendors needed to make a wedding unforgettable. So whether you’re looking for a wedding dress, a DJ, a photographer or even a chuppah, the wedding professionals at the Dare to Dream Bridal Showcase will help make your wedding dreams come true.

The designer bridal fashion show, featuring Crossover Bollywood SE and Harry Rosen Men’s Wear, will take place at 1pm and again at 3pm and will be MC’d by Carmen Ruiz Y Laza ofCarmen TV.
Come check out the lavish decor by Upright Decor and Design, stunning floral designs byGranville Island Florist and beyond ordinary cakes by Ganache Patisserie.

Dvorak’s New World Symphony is one of the best-known and most-loved symphonies ever written, a delicious soundscape of melodies, orchestral colours and musical styles.

The Mars Hotel and Kwan Yin – Firehall Arts Centre

Inspired by PW Bridgman’s eponymously titled flash fiction, The Mars Hotel was commissioned for the 2015 Dancing on the Edge Festival and received rave audience responses. Choreographer Ziyian Kwan and performer Noam Gagnon dance a series of humourous, poignant and delightful vignettes about the word love.
BJM (Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal) – Vancouver Playhouse

BJM returns with a triple bill. Rouge, choregraphed by Rodrigo Pederneiras of Brazilian company Grupo Corpo, is direct, genuine and raw, an ode to resilience and a tribute to indigenous peoples and their musical and cultural legacy. For Kosmos, Greek choreographer Andonis Foniadakis finds inspiration in the world around us and the excitement people experience every day ina city; moments of reunion, gathering and let go. In Israeli choreographer Itzik Galili’s Mono Lisa, two dancers execute incredible acrobatics in a factory-like atmosphere filled with sounds and visions of iron and steel – a breathtaking pas de deux executed with absolute mastery.

The quintessential backstage musical comedy classic, 42nd Street is the song and dance fable of Broadway with an American Dream story and includes some of the greatest songs ever written, such as “We’re in the Money”, “Lullaby of Broadway”, “Shuffle Off to Buffalo”, “Dames”, “I Only Have Eyes for You” and of course, “42nd Street”. Based on a novel by Brandford Ropes and Busby Berkeley’s 1933 movie, 42nd Street tells this story of a starry-eyed young dancer named Peggy Sawyer who leaves her Allentown home and comes to New York to audition for the new Broadway musical Pretty Lady. When the leading lady breaks her ankle, Peggy takes over and becomes a star.

This concert features mezzo-soprano marion Newman in two compelling works – Bramwell Tovey’s Fugitive Voices honours the lives of escaped slaves who fled via the Underground Railroad to safety in Canada; Anna Hostmn’s Nuyami Kulhulmx – Singing the Earth – describes the beauty and spirit of British Columbia’s Bella Coola Velley in an immersive, multimedia setting.

They need to tell that Cat that his mischief is just too much.
