Honda Celebration of Light Kicks Off This Weekend

Join the hundreds of thousands of fans as they take their spot down at English Bay for the 26th anniversary of Vancouver’s spectacular fireworks competition!

The fireworks will begin at 10pm each night – rain or shine.

Here are some helpful tips:

It the weather calls for rain, it’s recommended to bring a hooded rain jacket with you. Leave the umbrellas at home, as they impede the view for other guests.

It’s recommended to walk, bike or take public transportation to English Bay, as there will be major road closures from 730pm until 11pm.

To listen to the music simulcast, tune in to LG104.3FM – either on the radio or through their mobile app.

As an added bonus, there will be a free community concert series preceding the fireworks. SHOREFEST, presented by LG104.3FM, will be showcasing some of Canada’s top musical talents on the Key Lounge stage at 830pm each night of the fireworks.

Welcoming Summer With A Patio Party

Summer is here and both Oceans 999 and Coal Harbour Bar has launched – perfect reasons for us to have a patio party!

Last month, a few hundred of our nearest and dearest friends helped us kick off the summer season and sample seasonal cocktails and our new menu, created by our new Executive Chef, Geoff Carkner. Not to mention, taking in the best views of the city!

Guests dined on delicious  items such as: Smoke jars-black cod, crispy potato with seaweed, purple potato; maple chipotle rubbed salmon on bannock bread with maple aioli; Saltspring Island lamb with olive soil and feta espuma; dungeness crab “cannelloni” and apple foam; watermelon gazpacho with prawn ceviche; albacore tataki with yuzu gel, avocado and pickled chili. Did we also mention liquid nitrogen ice cream station?

The great thing about spring and being situated at Canada Place is welcoming all the visiting cruise ships to Vancouver! Being a port city, we’re so fortunate to be ambassadors for visitors from all over the world.
